About Denmark Garden Design's owner

As a child, Elisha had an affinity for gardens and all things nature. Life has taken her along various paths - elite sport, law, business, health and fitness, lifestyle medicine, University teacher. Her family's move across the continent from Sydney to Denmark prompted her to fall in love with nature all over again and begin creating her own dream garden.

Since living in Denmark, Elisha has completed a Diploma in Sustainable Living, majoring in the Science of Gardening (including a unit in permaculture), Living with Fire, Sustainable Landscaping and Sustainable House Design. She was placed on the University's Roll of Excellence for her studies in these areas.

Elisha has spent the last 3 years putting theory into practice in her own backyard (which started as a barren, weedy dry grass area, with compacted clay, sand and granite underfoot). She has been carefully researching Denmark's unique environment and weaves this into garden design. The result is an incredibly productive edible garden, spectacular aesthetic, improved soil structure and enhanced biodiversity.
